My first project has happened, and I could not have had a better client! When I originally posted that I would be starting this business, a sorority sister said she wished I was closer. I do not believe in coincidences, and I wanted to take a chance on myself, so I shared that I would be in her area in June for a wedding. Sure enough, the time worked for us both, and I was able to help with her closet reorganization. What I found while going through her t-shirts was shocking *and at this time, I will say this only makes sense if you know the Iconic Danny Pellegrino!!* cue Danny's podcast music....
During our consult, we discussed her goals for the project and what she would do before I got there. I also sent a list of recommendations to purchase and we used almost everything she bought, felt like a win for me! Because she had done most of the purging beforehand, I was able to go in and reestablish some organization. The project took me four hours in total with the first two hours spent putting clothes on velvet space-saving hangers, turning them all in the same direction, and displaying the clothes by type/material/color. The last two hours were spent on the rest of the closet - redefining bins and jewelry as well as her shoes.
When doing these projects, I want two things for my clients. For the results to be attainable and sustainable. With that, I was hard on myself because I felt like there wasn't a huge WOW factor - gotta love the pressure of the internet and Pinterest perfect homes - but what I know is that in a few months, her closet will still look this great because the reorg was attainable and truly something she can sustain.
I hope I took her space from one she hated being into one she truly finds peace in!!
Enjoy
PS - If you are interested in a DIY option let's chat! I will send you a list of recommendations and a plan to get you started :)
Before
After
Items that were purchased for this re-org:
12 Piece Shelf Dividers: We used these to seperate her shoes as well as her hand bags and t-shirts. They are acrylic and in the words of the great Dorit Kemsley *so chic*
Hat Holder: Super official name but I have this in my own closet! It holds 10 hats/visors (we stan hard for visors folks!) and is very slim so it doesn't take up tons of space
Foldable Storeage Bags: One of my absolute favorite items. I use these in my closet for extra bedding, seasonal items, holiday sweaters (sue me I have a ton!!) However, for this client we used them for leggings, seasonal clothes (her collection of seasonal leggings was to die for!!!) and swim suits) You can stack them, slide them under things, or store them flat when you aren't using them!
Tank Top Hangers: I have never used these but they were an awesome way to store tanks! You can also hang bras/swim tops/ etc
